{"id":32965,"date":"2023-03-18T08:21:04","date_gmt":"2023-03-18T08:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pee.udec.cl\/?p=32965"},"modified":"2025-06-09T17:48:03","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T17:48:03","slug":"construccion-sostenible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pee.udec.cl\/en\/construccion-sostenible\/","title":{"rendered":"Construcci\u00f3n sostenible"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El sector construcci\u00f3n consume m\u00e1s materias primas que todos los sectores industriales combinados, produce el 35% de los desechos y el 39% de todas la emisiones de CO2. Para atacar este problema, entre otros, el a\u00f1o pasado se elabor\u00f3 en Chile la Estrategia Clim\u00e1tica de Largo Plazo (ECLP). Este plan nos pone en sinton\u00eda con los requerimientos internacionales, exigiendo que, para el a\u00f1o 2050, la construcci\u00f3n sea carbono neutral. La meta es ambiciosa por s\u00ed sola, pero adem\u00e1s tenemos que aumentar considerablemente la producci\u00f3n de viviendas para resolver un d\u00e9ficit de 650.000 unidades. Tendremos que construir m\u00e1s, m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido, mejor y contaminando menos.<\/p>\n<p>La madera se presenta, por distintos motivos como el material ideal para resolver el conjunto de desaf\u00edos de la construcci\u00f3n: Es un material local que captura carbono, liviano, resistente, vers\u00e1til y f\u00e1cil de industrializar. Las termitas,\u00a0los hongos, el fuego, el sobre-calentamiento y la ac\u00fastica son aspectos que se han resuelto en Europa, donde la madera se ha posicionado tras 60 a\u00f1os de desarrollo como el m\u00e1ximo est\u00e1ndar de calidad, eficiencia y sostenibilidad, con edificios de hasta 24 pisos.<\/p>\n<p>Con los cambios normativos adecuados, que abarquen todo el ciclo de vida del material y su contexto, la madera puede transformarse en el insumo perfecto para el desarrollo de la construcci\u00f3n industrializada sostenible en Chile, pero no va a ser f\u00e1cil. Construir mejor es m\u00e1s caro, y en una situaci\u00f3n de d\u00e9ficit habitacional estructural, ning\u00fan gobierno se ha atrevido a sacrificar cantidad por calidad, como si fuera algo accesorio. Por ejemplo, nuestra reglamentaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica (RT2) no ha tenido cambios fundamentales en los \u00faltimos 16 a\u00f1os y la RT3, redactada desde el 2014, todav\u00eda no es aprobada. Esta situaci\u00f3n de par\u00e1lisis es grave, ya que la\u00a0reglamentaci\u00f3n actual no es suficiente para garantizar la seguridad, la durabilidad ni la salubridad y estamos sacrificando el bienestar futuro de la poblaci\u00f3n para resolver la urgencia presente.<\/p>\n<p>La ECLP nos exige que en 7 a\u00f1os tengamos implementada la RT4 y estamos en la versi\u00f3n 2. En teor\u00eda a\u00fan alcanzamos, pero hay que apurarse y sobretodo no equivocarse. En Europa ya pasaron por este proceso y podemos aprender de ellos. Por un lado nos permite avanzar m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido, pero por otro lado hace que sea social, ambiental y econ\u00f3micamente inaceptable que implementemos soluciones que les han fallado.
