European Studies Program holds a joint seminar with the Delegation of the European Union in Chile<\/p>\n
In order to identify in depth the multidimensional response that the EU is delivering to the health crisis, specifically the situation of the financial rescue and the effects on the relationship with Latin America, the Delegation of the European Union in Chile together with the Program of European Studies at the University of Concepci\u00f3n held a Webinar open to the community to discuss these interesting issues that have taken over the political agenda at the international level.<\/p>\n
The conference was led by Stella Zervoudaki, Ambassador of the EU in Chile; Enrique Fe\u00e1s, associate researcher at the Elcano Royal Institute (Spain); Beatriz Larra\u00edn, researcher at the University of Concepci\u00f3n and Paulina Astroza, director of the European Studies Program at our university.<\/p>\n
Stella Zervoudaki, Ambassador of the European Union in Chile, indicated in her conference that the European Union \"has disbursed more than 20 billion euros in its\" Team Europe \"project, to help its partners, both in Latin America, as in Africa and Asia, focused on health efforts, research, equipment and accompaniment of small and medium-sized companies \u201d.<\/p>\n
For Professor Astroza, that the Delegation of the European Union has thought about the European Studies Program to hold its seminar, is a clear example of the good work that this organization has done: \u201cIt is very important that the Delegation and the Ambassador think about us as a partner to carry out activities in Chile on European issues. The ambassador has always supported us in our activities and is in some way a recognition by the EU and the member countries of our work as a program and the work that we carry out to disseminate studies on Europe, \u201dsaid Dr. in Political Sciences.<\/p>\n
More or less Europe?<\/b><\/p>\n
Similarly, the European Studies Program held a conference on the future of Europe after the Covid-19 crisis, understanding that within the European bloc there are various voices that suggest both the need to strengthen the European Union, as well as others who seek decrease its influence.<\/p>\n
In this conservatory, Dr. Bel\u00e9n Becerril, deputy director of the University Institute of European Studies at the San Pablo-CEU University; Dr. Gian Luca Gardini, professor of international relations and Dr. Susanne Gratius, professor of Political Science and International Relations at the Autonomous University of Madrid.<\/p>\n
The activity was held on May 25, and its objective was for the panelists to present the various points of view that exist in the European community, delivering various arguments in favor of the European Union and that the member countries give greater powers to the body supranational in order to better face the crises that hit the bloc.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
